Where My Xbox 360 Sits

This is where my 360 has been since I got it at launch, yup, I still have my launch 360.

It seems to be fine there, sitting on top of my original Xbox.
Think I'll takes some picture of where my other consoles are.

Wow. If that's a launch day 360. I'd figure that there'd be a problem with in on top of the Xbox and sitting on the floor. But I guess not, if you got that system day one.

@funkzillabot Most of the heat vents seem to be on the sides of the 360, so it doesn't seem to be a problem.
@SDyer87 I'll probably clean my whole room pretty soon, haha.

My brother has an Xbox but he doesnt have Live so i can't play online. I could buy the live but then i wont have enough money to travel this summmer.

Live will be gone from the original Xbox pretty soon anyway.

The original Xbox couldn't download patches could it? I don't think it could, and that's the only thing I'd care about, I don't play Xbox game online.

I was tempted to just create an account so i can add Fnook and a few other friends, but Im not sure how to work the Xbox 360. I usually just stick with PS3. I'd probably have to play around a bit on the 360 till I get used to it. I haven't found many games that I like on the 360 either. Im really good at Rock Band and DDR lol

hehe, I was playing Oblivion last night. You also don't need live to have an Xbox account. Gold accounts require you to pay a $50 yearly fee, but you can open a Silver account that is limited. Just visit www.xbox.com, it's easy.

Is voice chat a Gold function or not? I forget. Earthbound: two words about your setup - fire hazard.

@rawkr I'm not 100% sure on the voice chat thing.

Lots of things that seem to be fire hazards never catch fire, hehe.

Well, I'm glad that @rawkr, actually mentioned it first, because that's what I thought too. I just didn't want to make you feel bad.

It's not so much the dust bunnies. More like the Xbox360 power brick sitting on the carpet.

@funkzillabot Well it's still on my carpet, there's really no other place to put the brick, unless you have some ideas?

Hey, if it ain't a fire hazard, you're trying too hard. My only suggestion would be to keep that light turned off 23.5 / 7 / 360

That light is actually the flash from my camera, haha.

The power brick wasnt the issue. Mine is on the carpet too and I can play it for 12-15 hours without incident. It was the dust buildup on the power strip. And I wasn't trying to hurt anyone's feelings, just a safety tip. Earthbound gets it, right?
