Also for the perfectionist you have many many many places to go and explore.
Aside from that I think it's one of the freshest titles on DS to date though... aside from TWEWY.
That's nuts...
The pins were constantly changing and evolving, at one point I had six pins that required all different types of maneuvers to pull off... Blowing and causing speakers to stun everything, holding down to blue flame everything, stabbing to have lightning burst down, dragging Neku to shoulder slam enemies, all while paying attention to the top screen and trying to get the super moves up and ready to go, WHILE... passing a multiplier green puck from bottom to top screen based on combos to maximize my equipment and level up my pins.
I thought there was a lot to do and pay attention to... Seemed like a very finely tuned game to me... Did you give it a proper chance? It takes a bit to pick up the first 4 days are very story driven, but after that KAPOW! The pacing was excellent.
I made it to near the end of the second week, got bored, and starting playing Bowser's Inside Story.
Third week is the best week. I'm surprised you weren't sold on the game when Joshua got his hidden powers activated though. Joshua sucks at first, but by day 6 of week two he becomes the best character in the game.
